Translation III / Strafsachen. Mechanic translation system, video camera, monitor. Ars Electronica Festival. Linz Austria -2014.

Translation III / Strafsachen is a site-specific work that aims to recontextualize the exhibition space by describing its own surroundings in real time with a continuous rotation/translation of the camera point of view. The recording device is installed above the celling in an inaccessible location for the public and travels according with the spectators’ movements through the exhibition space. The system interconnects two different spaces that cohabited in the same architectural structure, but are physically separated by the partition celling. By capturing this hidden place this project aims to bring into awareness the layers of history that are present in the building but are not accessible to contemplate and how it relates with the physical presences of the public.
